2017 Christmas Giftwrapping

Last year festive season myself and three other members, Maryline October,  Abraham Rooi, and Chayenne Moffat were volunteers at the gift wrapping at Shoprite Macassar. We enjoyed ourselves very much while we were sitting and gift wrap the people’s gifts.

While wrapping gifts and getting into the festive cheer, we met a taxi boss who offered us a free ride to the George Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge (OCC) in 2018. We are very glad for this opportunity to attend this event again. Mr Joseph Adams is a very kind and decent business man who likes to help in his community.

We would also like to thank shoprite’s staff, espically miss Margie Booysen who is always there to help amongst the disabled people, who helped us putting our tables and stuff ready for us in the mornings. We hope to do it again in 2018. We as Bridging Abilties members love you guys.

We raised just over R2000 to cover the group’s expenses for our OCC trip on the 17th-18th of February.
